Xiaomi Redmi 9 - AndroGuru

Xiaomi will reportedly launch another Redmi 9 in India

Earlier in August, one of the well known and top Chinese smartphone maker; Xiaomi  announced three new devices in India: the Redmi 9, Redmi 9 Prime, and the Redmi 9C. As per frequent leaker Ishan Agarwal, the Chinese OEM could have one more device to be launched. Ishan shared with Pricebaba that Xiaomi is getting ready to announce another budget-friendly Android smartphone for India which will be called the Redmi 9i.

Pricebaba has suggested that the Redmi 9i is a simply rebranded version of the 9A with extra RAM and more internal storage. The company released the 9A in June 2020 in Malaysia.

The smartphone features a 6.53-inch display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 1,600px x 720px screen resolution. Furthermore, the phone features the latest Helio G25 chipset, a powerful 5,000mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal device storage.

This Android powered smartphone comes with a single 13MP primary camera with an LED flash and a 5MP camera for selfie purposes. On the software side, it comes with Xiaomi’s MIUI Android skin that will look really amazing.

Regarding the color scheming, Xiaomi will sell the phone in three colors: Nature Green, Sea Blue, and Midnight Black.

Based on Ishan’s track record and the tendency of smartphone companies to flood the market in India with a variety of devices at different price points, it does not at all seem unreasonable to suggest that Xiaomi is prepping another Redmi 9 variant.
