On June 11, Samsung will be launching the Galaxy M40 in India. Teasers have already been sent out to increase the curiosity along with an official that gives some information about the handset. This release had got eyeballs rolling and users are looking forward to it.
Hence, we got to know that the phone will be priced at around Rs. 20,000/- ($287 or 257 as per exchange rates), its main rear camera would be a 32 MP snapper and the selfie shooter that is on the front side will have a 16 MP resolution.
The highest-end Samsung M-series smartphone specs have been leaked, and in spite of what it previously said, it seems like it is coming with a 3,500 mAh cell rather than a 5,000 battery (like the M30). Hence it seems like the big battery may not be a part of it after all.
According to a source, the Galaxy M40 will have a 6.3 inch 1080×2340 Infinity display, with the punch-hole on the left side for the selfie cam. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 675 facilitated by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The 32 MP main rear camera is flanked by an 8 MP ultra-wide shooter, and also a 5 MP depth sensor. From day one, the M40 will be the first M-series handset to ship running Android 9 Pie.
More than 2 million M series phones have already been sold in the subcontinent by Samsung, and, they hope that the M40 will double its share in the market this year for handsets being sold online, just like their other phones.
Just like the other members of the M family, the M40 is set to make its global debut in India and will be offered only online at Amazon and Samsung’s own web store.
