Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro is already part of Android Q Beta progam

Android Q Latest Logo 2019Just a day back the Redmi K20 Pro flagship phone was launched, and has already managed to gain an impressive achievement for itself. This smartphone found its place in the Android Q Beta testing program. The beta build of Android Q that is available to download for the phone is compatible only for the Redmi K20 Pro’s China variant.

Since it is a beta build, it comes with a lot of bugs, however, Xiaomi allows users to choose out of the testing and get back to the stable MIUI 10 based on Android Pie via the fast-boot mode.

Google had earlier launched the phones that would be eligible for the Android Q beta 3 at I/O 2019. In the list were only two Xiaomi phones – Mi 9 and Mi Mix 3 5G.

The Mi Global website via a post on it states that the Redmi K20 Pro happens to be the third phone from Xiaomi to be a part of the Android Q beta testing program.

The Redmi K20 Pro’s is however yet to be announced officially in Google’s list of phones that are eligible to receive Android Q beta builds.

The users of Redmi K20 Pro can sign up for testing the Android Q beta by way of the fastboot update channel, and then subsequently downloading the MIUI ROM flashing tool.

With the fast-boot route users can exit the Android Q beta program. Only the flagship China variant of the Redmi K20 Pro will eligible for the Android Q beta build. It is 2.1 GB in size.

Xiaomi has issued a warning that the beta testers may face a lot of bugs because of the beta build. The finger print sensor will not be usable on a Redmi K20 Pro unit that runs the existing Android Q beta build, there will also issues with Bluetooth connectivity and several app crashes as well.
