We are delighted to see that Valve is finally filling the gap. On 21st May 2019, the company has announced the Steam Chat app for Android which is a new standalone app for all steam users that pretty much amplifies the chat experience.
After borrowing some of the latest chat functionalities from the 2018 update, the Steam Chat app for Android brings in more modern features like customizable notifications, invite links, group chats and even friend lists.
In addition to the above, there is a feature called Rich Chat, which means that a user can finally send favorite meme’s or GIF’s in higher quality.
The Steam Chat app for Android does not have any voice chat options as of now but could be an addition in the future updates to enhance the user experience. The Steam Chat app is now available for Android on the Google Play Store.
The long-delayed Steam Link app finally got approved last week after being rejected for almost a year by Apple. Steam Link allows users beam Steam games from their desktop PC to an iPad, Apple TV or iPhone.
