The app basically provides a one for all approach as users can install the application for multiple purposes. Umang, which basically denotes Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance, anticipates bringing issues related to governance on the e-world.

The application has been uploaded on Apples App Store, Google Play Store and the Windows store. Moreover the application aims to provide a flawless experience to all users alike, which is why it is up for download for free.

The application owes its design to the Nation e-Governance Division and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

The major aim of the application is to speed up Modi’s digital India program and to drive e-Governance within India.

The best part about the application is that it provides a variety of Government services from local to central government and other citizen services like Digilocker and Aadhaar on one unanimous platform accessible to all.

Whether you need to file income tax, pay your utility bills, know about your provident fund, have queries related to your Aadhaar card or want to book a gas cylinder, Umang App provides you with all the services you require for living a happier life.

How the App works

You can either go to App Store or Play Store to search for the application manually and download it, or you can send an SMS or a missed call to the number 97183-97183 to get a link for download on your mobile.

After you have downloaded and installed the application, you will require a profile for yourself to move forward.

The profile will be created by inputting your name, phone number, age and a current photo that visibly shows your face. Umang creates a seamless environment by giving you the luxury to link your other social media account or your Aadhaar card on the application.

Once you are done with creating an account, you can go to the services section in the menu. Filter through the categories by selecting the service that you are looking for and enjoy an unparalleled experience that has never been seen before.
