MIUI 9’s Global ROM for India to Be as Fast as Stock Android

Xiaomi, one of the leading protagonists in India’s growing Smartphone market, has mentioned on numerous occasions that they don’t update phones just for their Android number. The aim at Xiaomi is to make the phone better and give the users an unparalleled experience.

The newly announced MIUI 9 is no exception. MIUI 9, which was available for beta use after the 11th of August, will now officially be available for users of Redmi Note 4, Mi Max 2 and Mi Mix 2 come November 3.

As for the other sets, the update will be available by the end of this month. MIUI 9 promises a lot of updated features that will eventually translate into better optimized feedback, quick app launch times and exemplary CPU acceleration.

For years, people in India have had the perception that stock Android is much better and faster. MIUI has come a long way in the past 3 years and now has a version that will perform similar to the expectations people had of stock Android.

This is the start of something new for MIUI, and they would love to build on this momentum and reach greater heights.

The Much Anticipated Features

MIUI 9 will be bringing a lot more to the picture. Xiaomi, with its latest software version, is looking to bring forth a plethora of updates over what was previously seen in MIUI 8.

  • Fast Launch Time: The launch time for applications is expected to become faster. This would ensure a better experience for most users and would keep them hooked to their screens.
  • Universal Search: With the addition of a powerful search engine, you can differentiate your image as you type in keywords.
  • Smart Assistant: Smart assistant will be the smart way out for users to find almost everything at their own will.
  • Dynamic Resource Allocation: MIUI 9 will let you get the best out of your Smartphone experience by giving priority to apps in use.

These features would certainly fit in well and create the gold standard for software in India’s highly competitive Android market. Xiaomi have on countless occasions asserted the belief that the new software version is on par with stock Android. “I think if you were to complain about feature differences between MIUI and stock Android, the biggest thing that people complain about is notifications. So in MIUI 9, the notifications are basically the same as stock Android. We support multiple styles of notifications including bundled notifications from an app, quick reply, and one-finger swipe to expand.”

While Xiaomi users across the country are looking forward to the experience, the biggest respite will be for users of the gigantic Mi Mix 2.

The wait is about to end for Xiaomi users as the MIUI 9 will be up on selected sets by November 3.
