What’s beyond the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 ?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was recently unveiled and buyers are impressed with the way Samsung has maintained its promise to deliver a superior product. The phone came as a major competitor to the just unveiled iPhone X, some experts and reviewers ranking it above the masterpiece from Apple.

But there are questions on what would come from Samsung after the Note 8 and amid these speculations is information about the expected unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Well, it seems it’s time to look at the future again as the rumors about the release of the Samsung S9 continue to fill the air. It is said due to improved production processes, Samsung is now able to speed up the development of different smartphones and it appears we will get the S9 sooner than many expect.

Some of the leaked information highlights the features included in the said phone as well as its expected release date. More information has also pointed to the prices it will be retailing at, so to get a preview into what the phone entails, here is information collected from various quarters that might help you prepare for the release of the Samsung Galaxy S9.

3D Facial Recognition

With the introduction of the 3D facial recognition system used on the iPhone X, Samsung seems to have also accepted the wind of change ushered in by Apple. The Samsung S9 is expected to feature a 3D facial recognition system that will be powered by an algorithm similar to the one used on the iPhone X.

The feature will be replicated on the phone to be released in 2018, so it will be much like what you will be getting on the iPhone X, and probably they will in a bid to beat competition make it better.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is said to help in the face recognition system. It is a strong processor that will also allow the phone to have a better display as it is expected to have lower bottom and top bezels with a taller display. It will be interesting to see how Samsung will work around the different aspect ratio, but with their design team working effortlessly there is going to be a major shift that will make the phone one of its kind.

Android 8

It is an obvious fact the next release from Samsung will feature the Android 8 OS, which comes with better multitasking capabilities and additional features that allow easy integration of VR.

Much of the focus has been given to making the browsing experience smooth so you can use different apps simultaneously without experiencing issues with performance.

Will the S9 be faster than S8 and S8+ ?

Considering the S8 and S8+ are yet to dominate the market, it comes as no surprise that there will be not much to be included on the Samsung Galaxy S9. You reckon it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is yet to be released, so Samsung is likely going to make it more efficient and powerful than the 835 used on the S8 for the U.S. market.

S9 and S9+ Camera

Experts anticipate that the S9 and S9+ will come with dual-lens camera, and this follows the footsteps of the Note 8 that came with 12-megapixel cameras (f/1.7 and f/2.4). Samsung has also considered adding a sensor that will make it possible to shoot at 1,000fps, and this would mean you will be able to do super slow-mo videos, which are close to the ones seen on Xperia XZ Premium that uses a sensor that can achieve 960fps.

Samsung will also stick with a similar design for the camera to be used on the S9 and S9+ and experts suggest the manufacturer might consider adding a telephoto lens for the secondary lens that will effectively deliver 10x optical zoom, which makes it superior to its predecessor.

Another addition that will likely come with the S9 and S9+ is stepped up post-processing capabilities that will help users to edit their photos better. Expect a few changes and new features as Samsung tries to answer Apple’s attempt to overcome their effort to dominate the market.
