Release Date and Price
Evan Blass- the famous leakster never seizes to amaze me and he sure as hell deserves his title. Now, the official date of the Huawei P9 release is still unknown but Evan Blass recently tweeted a possible date. According to him, a source told him the total number of days until the P9 release. He failed to mention the total number, but he did say that the release date will be either on April 6 or April 5.
Another leak from the Chinese website MyDrivers gave out the tentative prices of the four reported devices from the Huawei P9 series. A standard P9 will cost around US$449, the Pro US$599, the Lite US$299 and the Max US$699. Excited much? Well, take a look at our specs section and get even more excited.
Huawei P9 Specs
It is reported that the new P9 model will feature the new Kirin 955 processor, which is a chip by Huawei itself. Now the leaks report that this chip which is still in development mode will be even faster than Samsung’s Exynos 7420 which has a reputation of being extremely powerful. This also means that Huawei P9 all geared up with Kirin 955 processor could be one of the fastest phones on Android.
I am sure I have raised your blood pressure as well as the excitement level but hold your heart because I have got more. Now VentureBeat, in the month of March, reported on a device which they had been trusted with temporarily by an anonymous insider. Now according to this said insider, the device is powered by a Kirin 950 chip, a whopping 3,990-mAh battery, a 3GB RAM and a Mali –T880 GPU. I am sure you are already jumping off your chairs but hold on- there is more, you ready? They also confirmed the presence of a dual-rear camera set-up (yay)
The Chinese website Weibo has come up with the Huawei P9 AnTuTu benchmark tests. These tests will show you the major specs of this device along with the raw score. Now this image does confirm a lot of speculations about P9 like the Mali-T880 GPU and the Kirin 955 processor. However, it does come with a major difference: 4GB of RAM instead of 3GB. The image is given below:

A leak in early January, exhibits all the three variants of the P9 series: the P9, P9 Lite and P9 Max. According to rumours the three variants will respectively sport 5-, 5.2 and 6.8 inch display respectively.
The leak also makes an interesting suggestion that these devices will pack a whopping 6GB RAM – combine this with the Kirin 950 processor and you have a formidable entry in the 2016 tech market from Huawei.
Huawei, has also shared the initial official images of the P9 on March 22. Now these are more like teasers as the shots are close-ups and they give almost nothing away about the overall design. However, they confirm the presence of a dual camera set-up and a rounded rectangle design for the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Huawei P9 design
It is only a matter of days from the launch and the latest leaks give us a more detailed view of the Hauwei P9. MyDrivers.com posted a collection of images that shows P9 from various angles. The images are not clear enough but they do give an idea of the clean design and rear dual-camera setup.
Chinese site CNMO also came up with the P9 design pictures that shows heavily rounded corners and the inclusion of a physical button- this is a first for a P-series device.
This home button inclusion is also giving air to the rumours that P9 will feature a fingerprint scanner that will also be a first for the P-series.
I am sure that you are going all out with excitement for this handset. Well do not worry, I care for you and will make sure to update this page with more information about the device.
