Macbeth D'cruz Xiaomi Redmi 2

Macbeth D’cruz

Today we have with us the 24 year old student from Don Bosco College, Panjim, Goa who is currently working for a Forex Macbeth D'cruz Xiaomi Redmi 2company and living in Panjim, Mr.Macbeth D’cruz. We are glad to know that Macbeth decided to buy the Redmi 2 as he was using an HTC smartphone before and he now feels a huge difference in so many arenas. Let’s jump in and get to know what is his take about a few things on the Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Android all-together.

AndroGuru Team : Why Xiaomi Redmi 2 and not any other smartphone ??
Macbeth D’cruz : I choose the Xiaomi Redmi 2 because I read a lot about the company and the online sales. I have also read about the company a long time ago even before the company was known to the Indian consumers. Since then, I was amazed about their phones getting sold out on the release dates like hot cross buns. On the other hand I have seen other brands and personally feel that the same features are provided by the Redmi 2 along with better features as compared to the others. So why not invest ?

A : What did you feel at first while ordering the Xiaomi Redmi 2 and what did your friends feel about it ?
M : I waited for it since January 2015 as it was released during that time. I was disappointed because the phone always got sold out in seconds after the release timing. My friends hardly have heard about the brand.  Some have not even heard about the name so I enlighten them about it.

A : Why did you buy the Xiaomi Redmi 2 ?
M : I was thinking of buying a new smartphone and getting rid of my HTC. Upon reading the specifications and seeing the price,  I just could not say No !  An 8MP primary camera, Dual 4G and a amazing display screen with a fantastic pixel density, Quad-Core processor, 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM.

A : What do like about Xiaomi as a company and a brand ?
M : I like Xiaomi because it has direct online sales.  That is probably a reason why the prices are low since there is no middle agent that increases the cost of the product. Recently, the company has also reached the Guinness Book for their company sales record.  This makes Xiaomi as a brand a really tough and untouchable competitor as far as the mobile markets go. In terms of customer support, Xiaomi is working on opening service centers across the globe and I am glad that it has been opened in Goa too. (Read more about Xiaomi Service Centre in Goa)

A : Which mobile would you buy if you had Rs.40,000/- with you and why ?
M : The HTC Desire as I read about the features a few days ago.  The camera is great and the looks are good. Other than that the processor and internal memory is mediocre.

A : Which is the best smartphone in the market today as per you ? Why ?
M : HTC One M8. I would say this because the camera is really good and I just like the way it looks. Something really edgy.

A : Which is the best tablet in the market today as per you ? Why ?
M : Frankly, I do not like tablets. I really do not know much about them.

A : 5 Favorite Android Apps you use and like the most.
M : Share it,  WhatsApp Messenger, Flipkart, Facebook and vk
