We heard from Samsung that the Z1 would be launched in India this week and within no time the news is out. According to source, the Samsung Z1 has been launched in India bearing a price tag of Rs.5,700/- which is $92. The Z1 is the company’s first Tizen OS-based smartphone in to be launched in India and is available in White, Wine Red and Black color variants.
The Samsung Z1 sports a 4 inch WVGA display screen, a Spreadtrum SC7727S chipset housing a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor and running the latest Tizen OS 2.3. Apart from 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card, this smartphone has a 3.1MP primary camera and a 0.3MP VGA secondary camera. The connectivity package includes Dual-SIM support, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.
Moving over to the software angle, the smartphone features a stable built-in Anti-Virus protection, an Ultra Power Saving Mode, free access to Hungama music for a short period of three months and premium content though Club Samsung. SOS alerts can be sent to people who you save well in advance in the contact list by pressing the power button four times.
