The long wait is over as the OnePlus One has been officially launched in India. The OnePlus One is priced at a total attractive price of Rs.21,999/- for the 64GB variant that is approximately close to $355 on Amazon. The OnePlus One will be officially and exclusively sold on Amazon via the invite process and will later be available via pre-order. Do make note that the device will be only the 64GB that will be sold.
As of today the device will be sold only to those who have an invite for the same. There are only 20,000 units that will be available as of now and more will follow later.
As per the news that came in earlier, the OnePlus One in India will not be getting any updates to CyanogenMod due to a deal with Micromax. OnePlus will later provide a beta version of their own Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM that will replace CyanogenMod on the device.
OnePlus is already working on building their service centers in India that will have 25 walk-in service centers across the country. India is also the first market outside of China where OnePlus will have an official presence with Vikas Agarwal who is the General Manger leading the entire team in India.
