The Huawei Ascend P7 has been in the market for a long enough time now. The company seems to be working on a successor that would be rightfully called the Ascend P8. The Huawei Ascend P8 will 100% not be unveiled this year but looks like it will be official at the CES 2015 i.e in early January 2015. Even though it is a few weeks to go, we have caught on some rumored features which have started making rounds across China.
The Ascend P8 could be sporting a 5.2-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 2.5D curved glass which is similar to what was used on the iPhone 6. Just like the P7, this device will have a metal body, with a “porcelain texture” back cover. We are definitely sure that the USP of the Huawei Ascend P8 will be the looks and exterior design rather than the features. On the inside, the device would be boasting a HiSilicon Kirin 930 SoC built on TSMC’s 16nm process (currently in the production and testing phase). There will also be an octa-core chipset even though the clock speeds have not be rumored.
Rumored to be costing around CNY 2,999, $489 or €392 at the current exchange rates is pretty competitive. There are chances for the Huawei handsets to be a bit more expensive in foreign markets. We would advise you to get it from the home market itself at a better price.
