Nexus 6 enters DxOMark top 10 for camera performance

Google Nexus 6 DxOMarkFolks over at DxOMark tested the Nexus 6 camera and the performance and published the results online. We have simplified all the information available on the source stating that the first Nexus phablet got a score of 78 which makes it stand at the sixth position in DxOMark’s top 10 for best mobile phone in terms of camera and camera performance. As can be seen in the chart below, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have the best cameras around having tied at 82 points each. Many are wondering why the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has not made an appearance on the list and strongly wondering whether it can beat the iPhone. We would definitely say that the iPhone iSight Camera cannot be beaten by any Android phone in the market up till today.

The Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z3 and the Sony Xperia Z2 are the next having 79 points which by default makes them tied for second place. Next comes in the one and only Nexus 6 which can be considered as the third best performing handset tested by the team. Now looking in terms of photo capture, the Nexus 6 was good on overall exposure, detail preservation and even shooting in bright light conditions. On the flip over side, the device has showed a pinkish White Balance while shooting in cloudy and overcast conditions.

Moving over to video capture, the device has performed well for color rendering, noise performance and even texture preservation. The stabilization of video needs to be improved because rolling shutter artifacts are visible and overshoots while refocusing.
