Android 4.4.2 update rolling out at Sprint for Galaxy Mega

Today, Sprint officially revealed that a new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is now being pushed to users of the Samsung Galaxy Mega. All Galaxy Mega users happen to own a massive smartphone that could be rightfully called a tablet, so it is time you keep an eye out on the Notification Panel.  Samsung Galaxy Mega

This Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is not a major one but there are a few improvements and enhancements here and there. The previous update brought in KitKat features of transparent navigation and status bars, immersive mode, new location menu, cloud printing and white status bar icons among many other features, so this current update rolling out is a minor one. After downloading and installing the update your device you will be able to enjoy HD Voice Icon Support and International WiFi calling. Google Security Patches are also added in this update.

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Mega is labelled as L600VPUBNI3 which will be rolled out slowly in phases. In case you feel that you have missed looking at the Notification Panel for the update, you could manually check for the update under Settings -> More -> System Updates -> Update Now. In case you can’t find anything there, get hold of the USB cable and use KIES via PC to get the update. The update size was not mentioned by Sprint but we presume that it would not exceed 150MB.
