After the overwhelming success of the first edition of Android One in association with Micromax, Karbonn, Spice. Google gears up to launch the second version soon. Android One is basically sold in India only for now which targets the low/mid-budget market and also increases the number of Android users. Soon the company has planned to spread the sales to other Asian countries like Srilanka,Nepal,Bangladesh and Pakistan among many others. The first edition was launched at the affordable price of Rs.6399 through many online sites like Flipkart and Snapdeal among many others. Next time Karbonn has stated that they will make the mobiles available even in the local retailers so as to increase the number of smartphones in the market. The next edition is to be expected soon with some minor upgrades both in software as well as hardware. Google has big plans for the Android One series as it has already plans to tie up with big brands such as HTC and Acer. Although critics liked the phone, the common users feel that they have better user experience with the offerings from other brands in the same price range. There are heavy expectations from the new edition but still no hardware or software specifications have been revealed.
Brands such as Lava and Intex are excited for the product as this will be their first official tie up with Google. Some speculate the next gen to arrive this December while most of the sources expect the launch to be somewhere in the early 2015.The biggest rival for this device is Moto E which is doing excellent in the market and even the users are contended. So to break this fierce competition Google has to come up with a game changer. It will certainly be an interesting product to look out for…..
