Sony updated Xperia M2 and Dual Edition to Android KitKat

The Android KitKat update was recently rolled out for the Sony Xperia E1 and the E1 Dual. Now, it’s time for the M2 and the M2 Dual according to sourceSony Xperia M2

The Android KitKat update brings in many improvements, tweaks and performance upgrades with improved functionality. The new Android 4.4 KitKat update brings in an enhanced Status Bar with Quick Settings making the mobile operating system and interface more intuitive and customizable which makes sure that users get notified only for things which they really need during the day or use.

The new Sony user interface for the Xperia M2 and Dual after the KitKat update, hosts a sleek launch animation with a live wall-paper across the lock and home screens. Storage options are included wherein users can quickly move their applications to SD card from internal memory giving them more control over the content which means that the device requires no rooting.

The entire native app portfolio from Sony has been updated to its latest versions for apps like Battery STAMINA Mode, Smart Connect, TrackID and some of the default Media Apps like WALKMAN, Movies and Album. Inclusion of a good range of “Xperia Themes” also come along with this update and the device can now be made easily compatible with Sony SmartBand and Lifelog app. This update is rolling out in various regions step-by-step so if you missed the notification, you could manually update it. The Sony Xperia M2 Aqua is being worked on by the company which is considered as the best device for water resistance.
