Samsung has announced the Galaxy Camera 2 which stands as the successor to the Galaxy Camera that it announced at IFA 2013. Samsung will be showcasing the Galaxy Camera 2 at CES in Las Vegas on 7th January 2014.
According to NDTV Gadgets, there’s no mention of 3G/ LTE connectivity so there are questions whether Samsung has given up on having a SIM slot which was present in the original Galaxy Camera. A cheaper variant was launched by the company which was a Wi-Fi only variant of the Galaxy Camera later so we presume that the Galaxy Camera 2 follows on those footsteps. There is nothing said as of now whether Samsung will launch a Galaxy Camera 2 variant with cellular connectivity at a later date.
Myoung Sup Han (Executive Vice President and Head of the Imaging Business Team at Samsung Electronics);
