Finally, Google has rolled out its Android Device Manager app on the Google Play Store for free. The Android Device Manager is compatible on all Android devices running Android 2.3 Gingerbread or above.
On the Android Google+ Page the availability of the Android Device Manager app was announced by Google saying,
[quote]Now you can find your lost Android phone or tablet with the new Android Device Manager app, available starting today on the Google Play Store.[/quote]The new and improved Android Device Manager app works like the web version which allows users ring linked phones at maximum volume in order to locate their missing smartphones even if it is on a silent mode and can the devices can be located on the map in real-time.
In addition to the above, the app allows users to protect the details stored inside an Android smartphone or tablet by remotely adding a screen lock or performing a factory reset to erase all the content. Google announced the Android Device Manager Web version earlier in August 2013.
