Samsung Canada has opened up a Canadian Research & Development Centre in Vancouver. This will incidentally be the first location in Canada and now joins thirty three other Research & Development facilities across the globe which will include those located in the United Kingdom, United States, Russia, Israel, India, China and Japan.
The “Samsung Research & Development Institute Canada” employs 60 people which include software engineers, designers and operations staff and it very much looks like that they will be working on the KNOX platform by potentially aiming directly at BlackBerry users as the press release noted their efforts will “support the global design, operation, development and technical support of Samsung enterprise security solutions.”
