BlackBerry had announced that its cross-platform messaging app BBM for Android almost a month ago and the latest news is that it will now come pre-installed on a number of Android smartphones from certain domestic brands, such as Celkon, Zen and Spice commencing from next month.
BlackBerry has conformed that BBM will come pre-loaded on a variety of Android based devices from leading OEM’s across Africa, Indonesia, Middle East apart from India and Latin America. Some of the other Android smartphone brands that would pre-install the BBM for Android which include Be, Brightstar, EVERCOSS, IMO, Mito, Snexian, TiPhone and TECNO as per source. BlackBerry has also confirmed that BBM will continue to be available as a free download from Google Play Store.
