According to source, an European anti-trust regulator is looking at whether Google smartphone platform Android is violating fair competition norms and the company is already under investigation of European Commission for alleged anti-competitive behavior in the search engine market. Is this going to create an issue ?
In accordance with the Android issue, the European Commission Vice President Joaquin Almunia said that the case is at an initial and early stage and a decision on launching a formal investigation is yet to be taken. The hard fact is that Android is one of the popular and widely used smartphone operating platforms globally.
