Samsung is keen on continuing its Android based camera series under its Galaxy brand name. The Galaxy Camera was one the world’s first Android based camera and was quite popular and helped the company gain lots of praises from tech experts all over the world. Samsung is ready to do that all over again with its Samsung Galaxy Camera 2.
We recently covered a test shot photo which was taken by none other than the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 carrying the model number EK-GC200. The EXIF data of the picture confirms that the image was shot by a 2MP zapper.
The original Galaxy Camera borrowed most of its internals and features from the Galaxy S3. So, it should not quite come to a surprise to you if you see the Galaxy Camera 2 in a Samsung Galaxy S4 package.
The specifications of this device remain quite misty at the moment but we are sure its going to be a huge improvement on the original camera given that it too was just amazing. Some of our sources tell us that the camera will feature a 20.9 MP sensor from Samsung, an Exynos 5 Octa processor and an improved version of Samsung’s popular Android skin TouchWiz. The camera might even feature the latest OS from Google which is the Android 4.4 KitKat. As per rumours this device will launch early 2014.
