Samsung was the first company to launch a flexible curved phone called the Samsung Galaxy Round. LG followed Samsung soon and a few weeks later launched its flexible beast the LG G Flex. Tough, both this devices are only exclusive to South Korea, some of our sources suggest that both these companies are looking to expand the market for these flexible devices. These devices are very innovative and out of the box as some years earlier it was unimaginable to think about such devices.
LG has used OLED Screen technology for its G Flex device which is only 720p given that some non- flexible devices offer full HD resolution to its users. We really do not know why LG opted for the lower resolution. We think that it might be the reason that Full HD flexible OLED displays are not well tested yet to feature on a handset. The flexible screen provides an amazing viewing experience with great colours and contrast.
LG G Flex include a quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz supported by 2 GB of RAM. The phone has only a 32 GB internal memory model which is expandable by the use of microSD. The snapper is a 13MP sensor that promises to produce some great images. The front facer to capture crisp images and video call is an industry standard 2.1MP. The battery on the Flex is a 3,500 mAh which is very big and promises a very long battery life. Here is an official hands-on video about the LG G Flex which you must take a glance at to have a clearer picture about this device.
