Google has officially announced the Android 4.4 KitKat a couple of days ago and various smartphone manufacturers have been revealing their upgrade plans. Recently, Sony has revealed their Android 4.4 KitKat update plan. In an official blog post, Sony has mentioned their plans in terms of commencing the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean roll out.
As per promises, Sony will be bringing the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to its Xperia ZL, Xperia Z, Xperia ZR, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and the Xperia Tablet Z. The Android software roll-out will begin from December 2013 and the upgrades will seed region by region in due time. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean upgrade list just does not end with the top class Sony smartphones. Sony has confirmed that the Xperia TX, Xperia T and the Xperia V will be upgraded to 4.3 Jelly Bean region by region.
The hard fact is that Sony is also the first smartphone manufacturer to break the news about its Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade cycle as for now the Xperia Z, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia ZL, Xperia Z1 and the Xperia Tablet Z will be in the small queue to get the receive Android 4.4 KitKat update.
Google has already announced that the Android 4.4 KitKat is designed to scale and automatically fit on various Android devices with as little as 512 MB of RAM so be glad as the update might eventually make it to a numerous Xperia devices. There is no mention about any other Xperia devices at the moment.
