The year 2013 has been one of the most important and successful year since a long time for the Taiwanese electronic giant HTC. It was make or break for them this year but HTC worked hard, kept their act together and showed us some amazing devices with superior build, amazing cameras and authentic sound. One such device is HTC’s flagship launched at the dawn of this year the HTC One. It is rated to be the best device for Android this year beating its closest Android rival the Samsung Galaxy S4. In terms of built quality and the camera it easily beats the likes of Apple’s iPhones. With many awards to back this accomplishment HTC wants to be the first company to offer the KiKat experience to its valued customers. This we think is a very strategic move which will help HTC gain success and laurels for its device in 2014.
This is what a HTC Spokesperson said “Across the EMEA region, HTC will work with various local carriers to begin the roll-out of Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 5.5 for the HTC One from the end of January 2014. The Google Play Edition will begin to receive the update earlier much earlier starting from the end of November 2013. The details regarding the HTC One Max and the HTC One Mini will follow.”
HTC has confirmed that it will update all its class of 2013 devices under the brand name “ONE” that is the One, One Max, One Mini to Version 4.4 aka KitKat by early next year. This is welcome news to all HTC customers and fans as the company is known for its slow updating policy. With this HTC wants to break the shackles and again start dominating Android as it used to do earlier. The United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be the first regions to receive this new chocolaty treat from Google. The HTC One Google Edition will get the 4.4 update by the end of this month. Stay tuned for more updates from around the world on Android here on AndroGuru.
