Reports state that Samsung is now rolling out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 (Model: GT-I9300) which is Samsung earlier flagship device and according to a report by Sam Mobile, Samsung has knowingly skipped the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the device was still running the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean so the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update was on the waiting list. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update has been first rolled out to Samsung Galaxy S3 users in Ireland as per source.
The report states that the update is available both OTA and via the company’s Kies desktop software. The update notably brings in the Galaxy Gear support making the Samsung Galaxy S3 the fourth device to sport that functionality after Samsung Galaxy Note 3.Galaxy Gear is supported on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition and Samsung Galaxy S4 also. The new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S3 introduces new Samsung apps like calculator, gallery, contacts and various music apps.
Recent reports indicate that Samsung was planning an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for its top of the line smartphones very soon.
