In a bold move by the company Samsung has said that it will confirm its rollout plans for the latest version of Android “in due course”.Samsung does not tell us when it plans to do so but we think its in the near future considering similar plans by its rivals.
The flagship devices like the Galaxy S4, Note 3, S3, Note 2 are due to get the update first before the others in Samsung’s lineup. The Google Play edition of the Galaxy S4 is due to get the update in the coming weeks.Google claims it’s made KitKat less memory intensive than previous versions which basically means that it should work on a wide range of smartphones. Phones with a minimum 512 MB of RAM are entitled for the update.
Only time will tell whether Samsung will roll out updates for some of its older devices like the Galaxy S2 to keep its owners happy.More details coming soon in the future. Stay tuned.
