The latest version of Android has lots of new clean tricks and trades. Most of them are known but there are some that are not so publicized. One such feature is the immersive full screen mode on KitKat. We are yet to try out an Android device running KitKat but some of our fans send some feedback to us on this feature.
Android has made the overall experience “more engaging” by allowing content to utilize all available screen real estate. Previously, this was only possible in certain types of applications such as video players but now is on all apps enhancing the Android experience.
Now, any application can make use of the full expanse of the screen by fading away both system bars. The bars can be set to only reappear with a swipe from the top of the screen. We think this is an amazing feature which makes use of the entire display making the experience even better.
