Google’s launch of the Nexus 5 Android 4.4 KitKat smartphone and the Android 4.4 KitKat OS has been delayed by a month which means that the 28th of October 2013 is no longer the launch date. Google will now make the announcement in November 2013.
There are been a lot of reports earlier that both the products ( Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat ) would be launched on 28th October 2013 in correspondence to many clues. What has strengthened the rumours about the release is the leaked pricing details of the Nexus 5 on the Google Play Store.
There are speculations that the delay could have been caused due to LG’s curved smartphone G Flex which reportedly runs on the latest Android OS. As of now, there is no word from LG or Google about the same. The LG made Nexus 5 smartphone which is code-named Hammerhead would reportedly have a 2.3GHz Quad-Core Processor accompanied by an Adreno 330 GPU. It will be sporting a 5-inch display screen which will have a 1920×1080 pixels screen resolution. In addition to internals and design the Nexus 5 is said to have a 13MP Primary Camera and 2GB RAM.
