According to ETNews , Samsung was actually planning on fitting the Note 3 with a fingerprint scanner but for many strong reasons this piece of technology did not make it on the final device. As we cannot understand the Korean language very well and even then what we understand is that the manufacturer was planning on making use of a fingerprint sensor on the Note 3 Active built by a company located in Dittsham Valley. After all what has happened is that the chip failed to pass quality assurance tests and the company was forced to scratch the whole project.
Samsung still has not given up on the idea idea of the fingerprint sensor and the company has now started to work on its own fingerprint scanning technology and there are claims that the chip will be ready sometime in December 2013 or even at the beginning of 2014 as per source.
The question that arises is that can Samsung create a waterproof device that has a fingerprint scanner so what we got to do is wait and watch more news and information about the same.
