[Report] Android device makers cheat on benchmarks

Samsung was in the talk on news a lot for  having inflated benchmark scores for Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4, but if another report is to be taken into consideration and upon that believed , quite a few Android device handset  makers may have been indulging in this malpractice.

According to source an estimate by tech website AnandTech reports that Samsung is not the only one which indulges in these practices, but there are other manufacturers like Asus , HTC and LG too have been indulging in similar activities which is creating a bad name for them as well as potential Android device buyers will be in two thoughts about Android.

The report states all the above stated manufacturers have the similar CPU optimizations in their devices which include both smartphones and tablets and have been taking part in the practice for quite some time now but no fixed time frame could be drawn out about the same.

The Android devices that were tested by the website mentioned in the report for this malpractice include the HTC One, HTC One Mini, LG G2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 along with the one and only Android life companion ” Galaxy S4 ” and the recent launched Android split-screen (multi-tasking) tablet ” Galaxy Tab 3 “.
