Remember the time when Samsung showed us those beautiful OLED screens branded under the YOUM name that were bendable and flexible. We thought that this new screen technology would be used of the Galaxy Note 3 which wasn’t the case. But now rumors are out again that Samsung is finally ready to launch this screen technology on its Galaxy Note variant called the Galaxy Note 3 Active.
This news as our sources have reported on has been confirmed by a Samsung spokesman in his interview with a Asian daily. This device is expected to launch by the end of October 2013.
Though the specifications of this device remain under the shadows we expect it to have almost the same features as the original Galaxy Note 3. The screen on the Galaxy Active will be bendable and flexible and will also be able to handle more abuse.
This phone is most likely to be a limited version device and we would be surprised if it launches in any other market other than Samsung’s home market South Korea. It would be testing times for Samsung about what people think about this new screen in the real world. The success or failure of this phone is likely to pave way for the development of future Samsung Flagships.
That’s all what we know for now. We will keep our beloved readers informed about any more updates about this one of a kind device.
