Samsung Electronics will introduce a wristwatch-like device named the Galaxy Gear on 4th September 2013 by which phone calls, surf the web and handle e-mails can be carried out according to two people familiar with the matter as said by source. The trend of watches is coming in and very soon all smartphones will be replaced by the wrist warriors.

The Galaxy Gear will be powered by Google’s Android OS and will go on sale this year 2013 to beat a potentially competing product from Apple. Nothing much about the hardware specifications and price has been revealed as of now. We estimate that this kind of news will be out in the 3rd week of August 2013.
Chung Chang Won ( Analyst at Nomura Holdings ) says ;
It will carve an area for sure as this is an initial product in the market and wearable devices could be one of the trends in the smartphone market, but I am not sure yet whether watches or glasses will set the trend.
Lee Young Hee ( Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Mobile Business Sector ) said in a March interview the company was working on a watch device so all stays in support with the comment.
