There is a rumour that could turn out true that Samsung is going to launch a new Android 9.0 powered smartphone under the Galaxy M series in India. This device would be called Galaxy M40 and would be the fourth device after the M10, M20, M30 to be launched in India.
We first spotted the Samsung Galaxy M40 on the WiFi Alliance website where the listing did not provide a lot of concrete details about the Galaxy M40. The only specifications revealed about the Galaxy M40 was the code-name SM-M405F/DS and the platform. We are glad to share with you that this smartphone is going to be the first Galaxy M device to run on Android Pie out-of-the-box.

The very well known, Indian tipster Ishan Agarwal has confirmed that the M40 would would be launched in India. In a recent tweet, Ishan said, “Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy M40 (SM-M405F) soon. It will definitely be launched in India”. He also added that the phone would launch in three colour options which would include Coral, Blue, and Black. He further claims that the M40 would have a 128GB variant.
Also in the rumour hill, is that the Galaxy M40 would have a powerful 5,000 mAh battery and support of a 15W fast charging feature, an Exynos 7904 SoC or an Exynos 9610 SoC found on the M30 and A50.
