The beta version of the much anticipated Android 8.0 Oreo update is out on Samsungs flagship sets the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+. The new update can be availed through ‘Samsung Experience 9.0’ in the US, the UK and South Korea.

Excited users have lined up to sign up for the beta registration. The registration for the beta version can be done by logging into the applications for Samsung Member or Samsung+. With exciting feature in it, the update is designed for all devices available in South Korea and on SKT, KT, LG U+, and T-Mobile or locked on Sprint in the US. Users in the UK need to have an unlocked Galaxy S8 or S8+ to enjoy the seamless experience of Oreo.

Samsung has made available the beta version to gather helpful feedback and positive insight from users. Users have been motivated to comment on their first impressions of how the device performed. Developments made from the insight garnered through the beta version will then be used by Samsung to enhance the Oreo experience for users across the world.

Samsung released a statement recently, which clarified their stance on how Androids versions will impact the Samsung Experience. Samsung stated “Following Samsung Experience version 8.5, which was released with the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Experience 9.0 is based on the latest version of the operating system built on the Android Oreo UI and UX, and will be available on the next flagship Galaxy device.”

While Samsung has backed away from highlighting any changes that would be part of the beta version, Reddit users, who are enjoying early access, have revealed quite a few key features. The update is expected to bring colored media notifications alongside launcher shortcuts and a smoother experience.

With the updates installed on your phone, you can access the exemplary services of Google Assistant by saying ‘OK Goggle’ even when the screen is turned off during charging. Androids instant app support along with enhanced auto fills and color distinction are expected to be part of the update. The redditor who has experienced the feel of the beta version mentioned how some of Samsungs apps have been brilliantly redesigned.

Safe to the say, the updates have created a buzz among users of Samsung within India and all across the world. The Samsung Galaxy S8, which has already enhanced Samsung Experience, is deemed to benefit from the updates, as per the opinion coming in from beta users.

Although, both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ were launched earlier this year with the Android 7.1 Nougat, the testing for Android Oreo on the flagship phones was started in mid September.
