Honor 9i Android mid-ranger out in India for Rs.17,999
The Indian division of Huawei‘s subsidiary Honor has released a new Android smartphone in the form of the Honor 9i, debuting it’s latest offering aimed at competing in the mid-range market segment in India.
The Honor 9i is available for purchase on Indian e-commerce store Flipkart, being priced at Rs.17,999/- which is approximately equal to $277. This model is the re-branded version of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, Nova 2i and Maigmang 6.
The Honor 9i features a unique metal uni-body design and regular-sized bezels, though it’s display panel boasts a 5.9-inch diagonal screen and an FHD+ resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels.
The Honor 9i (Graphite Black, 64 GB) ships with the HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC boasting eight cores clocked which are clocked at a whooping maximum operating frequency of 2.36GHz.
A circular fingerprint scanner can be clearly seen on the rear panel of the smartphone which does not have a physical Home button despite having enough space on it’s bottom bezel.
The dual-camera found on the back of the smartphone has a 16MP main sensor and a supporting 2MP one.
The similar camera configuration can be found on the front of the smartphone where the system relies on a 13MP module which is backed by another 2MP unit, though only the main imaging system features a neat Dual-LED flash.
The Honor 9i (Graphite Black, 64 GB) is decked with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of Internal Storage that is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. EMUI 5.1 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat is part of the device, with an Oreo update that could be pushed out to users sometime early in 2018.
