Honor 7X Set to launch in India at Unrivaled Price
India’s smartphone market is as competitive as any other tech market in the world. We have numerous manufacturers and retailers vying against each other to get the shares in a developing market that offers exemplary potential and opportunity.
One protagonist that has risen above the early blues to establish itself as a decent competitor to other settled brands is Honor. Honor, which is a sub-brand of Chinese manufacturer Huawei, has previously shown its abilities by launching phones that promised great specifications in an extremely affordable price range.
One of the latest edition by Honor to their X series is the Honor 7X. The phone, which was revealed a few weeks back in China, excited users in India because of its specifications and aesthetic design.
Although Honor 7X’s availability and pricing details for China were made open during the unveiling of the phone, its release date and price in all other regions was not disclosed, up till now…
Well, the cat is now out of the bag as Honor’s Global President George Zhao has spilled the beans regarding the launch of Honor 7X in India. Zhao, during a meeting with renowned journalists over the weekend, expressed his delight at the anticipation Honor 7X was garnering in India.
When asked about the release date for Honor 7X, Zhao mentioned that the phone will officially be launched this December and would be marketed at an “unbeatable price”.
Zhao went on to elaborate on the statement and mentioned that India was a major part of Honors’ plan and that they were aiming to enhance their current position in this market by releasing fancy and powerful smartphone within a low price range. About the Honor 7X, Zhao expressed hope that the phone will have an unrivaled price that no one in the region would be able to compete with.
Zhao also showed concern on the current promotional activities of Honor in the Indian market. The president stated that Honor should increase its promotional activities and strategies to ensure that they get the best out of this market. “We have the capability to out-compete other dominating players in the Indian smartphone market in terms of quality, but our marketing efforts need to improve,” said Zhao.
The basic 32 GB version of Honor 7X is selling for around 1,299 Yuan in China. The price increases with the increase in the memory size of the phone. The price in China would translate to roughly Rs. 12,700/- in India.
While details regarding the availability of variants and the price remain covert, we can expect the cost to stray around what it was set for the Chinese public.
