Xiaomi Mi 6 could be launched on 11 April 2017
According to Weibo, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is rumored to be launched on April 11. There have been quite a few launch dates that have been reported earlier, but with the fresh renders being leaked, it seems like the wait is over and we can finally get our hands on the Xiaomi Mi 6.
Through the many speculations that are all over the internet, a rough opinion can be formulated that the Xiaomi Mi 6 may have Snapdragon 835, Qualcomm’s latest processor. It is also believed that the smartphone will carry a dual-rear camera and will be available in a glossy Black color along with Gold and Silver. The power and volume key will also be placed at the right edge of this flagship phone.
Though we have received no confirmation from the makers of this machine that the specifications known to us through the information that has surfaced online, it is safe to assume the phone will come with a 5.2-inch full HD TFT LCD display and a ceramic body. It is possible that the phone will run on Android 7 with the MIUI. This device will have a long battery life of 4000mAh. It is likely to be available in 2 variations of 4GB RAM, with 32GB ROM and 64GB ROM and a third variation of 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
That’s not all, it seems the smartphone will also be available with alternative processors, the Snapdragon 821 SoC, the MediaTek Helio X30 processor, or Snapdragon835. It is interesting to note that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is confirmed to have Qualcomm’s latest, Snapdragon 835 processor and the launch date is set to be pretty much the same as that of the Xiaomi’s Mi6.
Getting to the camera, the rear cam may have 19MP Sony IMX400 sensor with 4K video recording capabilities and a dual-tone LED flash, which is the same camera used in the Sony Xperia XZ. The front cam is believed to house an 8MP IMX268 selfie shooter. With an expected starting price of around INR 25000, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will make a lot of fans happy.
