I am a big Android fan and I make no bones about it. This is why I am very happy whenever I meet an Apple-to-Android convert. The one common reason because of which these converts switched to an Android, include words like ‘iTunes’ and ‘oppression’. The best thing about Android for me is the unrestricted consummation I have to music virtually. Add the huge number of music player apps to this mix and I am completely sold. Today, I have here the best music player apps for Android to choose from.

Phonograph

When it comes to excelling Material design and UI, nothing can beat Phonograph. This is one of the best looking music player with silky smooth primary and accent colours, which allow you to add a little of your own personality to the app. The appearance is not too flashy and the app executes everything perfectly. I have been using Phonograph for a while now and have not encountered even a single problem since I started using it.

I will definitely suggest you to give it a go and I am pretty sure you will not want to let it go once you have had it.

Pulsar Music Player

Whenever I think gorgeous, Pulsar is what comes to my mind. This is a Material Design music player which allows you to browse your music by albums, folders, genre and artists. Pulsar Music Player offers you all the important features that you need. Apart from the essentials you also get some different ones like the built-in last.fm support, built-in tag editing, automatic artwork download, smart playlists and a variety of other themes.

This music player is available in both free and paid version. Where the free version offers you pretty much everything you need for basic use, the paid music player gives you access to equalizer, additional themes and a bass and reverb booster.

Shuttle Music Player

This is by far the best looking music app on Android. This music player has a great line of features and it gives you a six band equalizer as well as automatic downloads for artwork and lyrics. This music player also has Last.fm scrobbling. This feature helps in working out which music you listen to the most and then create a playlist according to your liking.

The paid version is available for US$1.75 / £1.10 and will provide you with more themes, folder browsing and Chromecast support.

Musixmatch

This is a music player with a different twist. Musixmatch offers you a sleek, elegant interface for your music listening needs and at the same time it is loaded with FloatingLyrics widget. This widget syncs lyrics to music that you listen and then allows you to read on the lyrics as you are listening to songs on your default music player or on Spotify, YouTube or other music apps.

The cool thing about Musixmatch is that it allows you to type lyrics into the widget and then it finds the matching song on your device for you. This widget is what makes this music player different from others.
