All you tech junkies, I have big news for all of you today.  If you are a true blue Moto X lover then you are going to be ecstatic as a fresh and according to me the biggest Moto X 4Th Gen leak has emerged revealing almost everything important about the handset. This leak is like a treat as it gives you major insight into all the details that includes an all-new modular backplate system that vaguely reminds me of LG’s expansion slot.  I am sure you all are jumping from excitement but brace because I have more – reports and rumours claim that two Moto X devices are all set to be released on August 24 and will support the additional accessories.  This write up is all about the new devices from Moto X and what they have for you- and as I always say, you can thank me later.

Moto-X-lover

Is this the new Moto X device?

If you are a real Moto X fan then you would have been following all the Moto X leaks religiously and this is why you must know that the last leak revealed that Moto X will have gold connector pins on the rear of the phone (take a look at the renders above). According to the famous smartphone leakster Evan Blass, Motorola is going modular.

If speculations from Evan Blass are to be believed, Motorola has planned six modules for the Moto X 2016 launch. These modules will attach to the pins on the back of the devices.  I can see that you all are getting pretty excited so let me add to the excitement a bit more, Evan Blass also speculates that these said modules will also include: battery pack, stereo speakers, a pico projector, a camera grip with flash and optical zoom and a rugged cover with wide angles lens attachment.

Now we all know that this module thing was initiated by LG and it released several modules with the LG G5 and if rumours are to be believed we can expect to see more module releases soon. Now, that Motorola seems to be all in with modules, it is going to be the second major smartphone manufacturer to compete in this area in 2016.

Just like last year, we can expect to see two versions of the Moto X released together this time around too. Below we have two pictures of Moto X in both black and white models. These pictures apparently show off two separate devices: a high end flagship and a midrange handset.

Moto-X-released

The new Moto X seems to follow the same design ideology as Moto X the Moto X Play (left) and Moto X Pure Edition

According to reports from the leak, the flagship device will carry a 5.5-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) OLED display, 3 or 4 GB RAM (hopefully both the versions will be available), Snapdragon 820 processor, 32 GB of internal storage and a 13 MP camera with OIS.

Apart from the above mentioned extremely impressive specs, Blass also seems to speculate that the battery may have only 2,600 mAh capacity, which is terribly low and a bit of a downer given the other impressive feature. However, the handset is supposedly 5.2mm thick, if that is any consolation.

Let us talk about the lower cost handset. This handset is said to have a 5.5 inch Full-HD (1,920×1,080) OLED panel, 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 625 processor and a laser-assisted 16 MP camera.  The device is going to be 7 mm thick and will be available with a 3,500 mAh battery.

This photo that leaked earlier this year is said to be the real deal

If you notice the specs carefully then you will notice a pattern here which is similar to the approach that Motorola took last year with Moto X – Moto X Play which is the more pocket friendly version has the large battery whereas Moto X Pure will be a powerful device with a smaller cell.

I already told you that Blass suggests an August 24 launch, whereas Droid Life suggest a June 9 release date which will coincide with Lenovo Tech World conference. According to me, an early June launch is dicey. However, we might see some modules at the show.

At last, all these talks about the new Moto X are just speculations for now but Blass is generally reliable.

Android Music Players – The best of the best

I am a big Android fan and I make no bones about it. This is why I am very happy whenever I meet an Apple-to-Android convert.
