Evernote updated with document scanning for Android
Evernote is one Android app that has made millions of lives easier with documents on mobile. The company has recently updated their Android app on 6th May bringing in a feature by which a user can scan documents by pointing the mobile camera to the document required to be scanned. How cool is that ?
Almost a year ago, I remember that there were multiple apps launched for scanning business cards which was really cool and over the years that have become so much more precise that there is no need to edit any details/errors after scanning. I personally use a Card Scanner app as well as Evernote for past two years although I have just un-installed the card scanner because Evernote now has the business card scanning feature too.
After using the new updated version of Evernote, I would say that it is quite neat and fast as always. On the other hand there are improvements that include :
- determination of size of document
- determination of type of document
- cropping and adjustment to get the best look and fit of the document
- scanned documents are saved to mobile photo gallery
- scribbles can be made on scanned images
- scribbles can be made on PDF’s.
What more do you want from Evernote ? I’m sorted at the moment.
Do let me know your views about Evernote or any other apps that you like to use for noting, scanning business cards and what not.

I am a big Android fan and I make no bones about it. This is why I am very happy whenever I meet an Apple-to-Android convert. The one common reason because of which these converts switched to an Android, include words like ‘iTunes’ and ‘oppression’. The best thing about Android for me is the unrestricted […]
