Humans are inquisitive by nature – that is how we are built. We are always looking out to try all the new things around us. And when we are talking about our Android devices we make sure to fill it with the latest apps.  Most of the time these apps work like a breeze, however there are times that we find ourselves in a problem. How?  Let me give you an example – you see this really amazing app in the Google play store and you want to try it ASAP. You download it but all you receive is a cryptic error message that contains nothing but random numbers. I can feel your frustration brother.

Now I am always thinking about you people and this is why I came up with a list of common Google play store errors, their meaning and how you can solve them.  And as I always say – you can thank me later.

Google Play Store Error Code 194

This error which is caused when you are trying to download apps or games from the Google Play Store.

This problem can be easily fixed by clearing the cache date for Google Play services and Google Play Store. The process is easy:

  • Go to Settings> Apps or Application Manager
  • Scroll to All and then down to the Google Play Store app
  • Go to the app details and tap the force stop button
  • Tap on the clear data button

Once you have done this, you will repeat the same instructions but only replace Google Play Store with Google Play Services in the second step. Now attempt your download again. Now, it should work well.

In case the problem still persists, you do not need to sweat this out as this problem has been taken care of and the fix will roll out in the next version of the Play Store app. You need to ensure that you have the latest Google Play Store APK.

Have the latest version of Google Play to make sure it works well

This is an error most of us come across to when we are trying to download an app. The catch with this problem is that it will not go away if you just try downloading it again. This is why you will need to check into settings.

First of all let me tell you that the problem is with Google Play itself and not because of individual users. This is why I am hoping it will be taken care of in the near future. For the time being, the below given instructions may help:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on Application Manager or Apps (the name will differ depending upon your device)
  • Swipe to the All Column
  • Scroll down to Google services framework
  • Choose Clear data and then OK

This will get rid of the problem. However, in case this does not help, go to the Google Play site on your PC and from here install the app that is giving you so many issues. Once you have done that, go back to your device – the installed app should work now.

Google Play Store Error Code 495

Issue updating or downloading apps from Google Play store

You will delete data in your Google Play Store. Go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > Clear data. You will also delete data from Google services Framework as well. This process assigns a new Google ID to your device – just like factory reset.  This may let Google apps act up temporarily afterwards.

Now you will delete the Google account from your device and reboot your phone. Once this is done, re-add your Google account, go to Settings>Accounts>Add Account>Google Account.

Google Play Store Error Code 941

Interruption during update.

The solution for this app is pretty simple. You will Go to Settings>Apps>All>Google Play Store and then you will just press Clear cache and Clear data. Try the update again.
