We have completed the April month and Google has released the distribution stats for Android for the month of April 2015. Without any shock or surprise, the stats for Android 5.0 Lollipop has grown with an increase of approximately 10% of all hardware. Android 5.0 is now present on 9% of all devices whereas Android 5.1 Lollipop has a small share of 0.7% which is also an increase since March 2015.

Android April Report 2015

We have approximately 12 devices in out office running Android 5.0 Lollipop and 4 devices running Android 5.1 Lollipop which means that we contribute also. Apart from Android 4.4 KiKat being dipped to 39.8% and Android ICS which can still be found on 5.3% devices, Android 2.3 Gingerbread is still in the house. Looking at the distribution chat closely, we can say that Android is increasing at a good rate which is good for development and career options.
