Pricilla Viegas - Android Vista - AndroGuru.comToday we have with us Pricilla Viegas, a smart and sweet girl from Goa, India pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Science at Dhempe College of Arts and Science. Apart from listening to music, hanging out with her friends, watching horror movies and playing badminton, she loves the whole experience of the Android ecosystem and MIUI experience too. She recently purchased the Xiaomi Mi4 and we could not just wait to get in touch with her to get to know her views about the smartphone. Let’s see if this cute smart girl finds the smartphone – SMART !

Ms.Pricilla Viegas says;

When I went through the phones specifications, it had most of the things I wanted in a phone,  mainly a good camera. I also wanted to try out something new and not the usual phones one usually buys. The whole look of Xiaomi Mi4 is more sophisticated, and the display is unique as well.

I was very excited and nervous at the same time,  since only few were being sold there was a high chance that I would not get it. My friends shared my excitement and were very eager to check out the phone.I liked the specifications of the phone. It was something new to me and also from the feel of the Mi3, the phone intrigued me.

I think Xiaomi as a company has done a great job of conquering the Indian smartphone market. In just over a year their phones have become more desirable than those of companies like Samsung and Micromax. Xiaomi is also a great brand. Their phones have a good build quality. The most notable point is the way that they have priced their phones in India which has given them a big advantage over the competition. Besides the build quality Xiaomi’s higher end smartphones cost almost around half the price compared to a phone from Samsung or HTC with high specs which would usually easily cost around Rs.35,000/- to Rs.40,000/-. But their main success here in India is because of the phones like the Redmi 1S and the Redmi Note 4G which have offered excellent features within the Rs.10,000/- budget. Their choice of Qualcomm chipsets over mediate have made them more reliable. Besides their phones, their accessories like the Piston earphones and the Power banks are also very good.

I would either buy the OnePlus One (64GB) or the Xiaomi Mi4 (64GB) as they offer high specifications. Both these phones have equally great features, but are priced much lower than other phones of comparable specifications. I personally chose the Xiaomi Mi4 as I find it much more easier use due to it’s slightly smaller screen size compared to the OnePlus One.

It is quite hard to choose, but as much as I hate to admit, I think the best smartphone that you can get today is the iPhone 6 Plus. The performance and fluidity of that phone is unlike any other. It has one of the best cameras on a smartphone and also gives a great user experience.

When it comes to the best tablet, right now it is undoubtedly the iPad Air 2. The number and quality of tablet specific applications available for iPad is far more and better compared to a Samsung Tab or a Nexus 9. From the build quality to the performance and usage, the iPad according to me is still the best tablet around.

I would like to thank Nigel Quadros for taking the time out of his busy schedule to interview me. It took some time to get the date settled but in the end he came through. It was a new experience, I was a little nervous but his professional skills and calming words helped me to relax and be myself. Not forgetting AndroGuru for choosing me for the interview. Android Music Players – The best of the best

I am a big Android fan and I make no bones about it. This is why I am very happy whenever I meet an Apple-to-Android convert.
