The search giant is all set to offer its ultra-high speed broadband service which is known as Google Fiber in new metro areas soon as per a report on Wall Street Journal. These new areas where the broadband service will be implemented include North Carolina cities of Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte. Two more important cities that will get the Google Fiber broadband service is Nashville and Atlanta.

Google has already sent invitations to local media in the cities to attend events this week. Most of the details are still wrapped up and the company will unwrap it on the event day itself. Events in Atlanta and Nashville have been scheduled for today while those in Raleigh and Charlotte are planned for tomorrow which will be followed by Durham.

As of now, Google Fiber is available in Provo, Utah, Kansas City, Austin, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. In February 2014,  Google said that they are exploring the idea of expanding the service to up to 34 cities in nine metro areas and it seems that they are working on it now. Google will be working on improving the service and upgrading in other cities which means that it is not the end of the road for Google Fiber. Google is improving the broadband experience in the United States and will move on to other counties later but, when is India going to get rid of BSNL and switch over to Google Fiber. Do let us know what you feel about it if you are a resident from any part in India. We would love to know your thoughts.
