Summary of the WeekXiaomi has been banned from importing mobiles from China and selling its devices in India through Flipkart. This sudden decision was taken by the High Court Delhi after hearing to a case filed by Ericsson. After this decision, there was a open letter by Hugo Barra to it’s consumers that Xiaomi is analysing all the legal options to break this new barrier. This will be a boost to the Indian mobile manufacturers as they will try hard to gain a foothold in the market while Xiaomi is out of the scene. The LG G3 is getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in United Kingdom.

YouTube for Android is updated in India along with certain nations. This new update allows user to store some videos to watch during low or no internet available. This application is available both in Android and iOS. The Nexus 9 which is expected soon on the Play Store has been already launched on Amazon officially by HTC. Instagram has now officially overtaken Twitter. Recently, Instagram has reached the milestone of 300 million users while Twitter was supposed to have 284 million active user profile at the end of September 2014. Foxconn, a multinational brand which manufactures iPhone’s and iPad’s for Apple and Kindle for Amazon has eyed the recently defunct Chennai factory of Nokia for purchase. Foxconn has decided to invest around $2 billion in India. Lava is supposed to be a prospective buyer for the same plant. This plant was once the world’s largest mobile factory. In other news, Microsoft has confirmed the Lumia 535 touch issues and they are working on fixing the issue while the Lumia 435 has been leaked with images and certain specifications.
