OnePlus One will have Cyanogen support in India

OnePlus OneA few days ago there was a lot of disappointment from many people after getting to know that CyanogenMod will not support OnePlus devices in India because they collaborated with Micromax. Not long before we get to know that the developers from Cyanogen spoke up about the controversy surrounding the lack of future support for their ROM on OnePlus One handsets sold in India. The good news is that the company will continue pushing OTA updates for all global OnePlus One devices which include even those in India.

This news arrives almost after a week after OnePlus officially announced that their smartphone will be updated to non-Cyanogen firmware across India. Cyanogen would exclusively support only Micromax’s Yu brand on the local market in India. This new development is great news for all potential customers in India. OnePlus One was launched in India a couple of days ago. CyanogenMod has been really nice since the time the started developing an OS for mobile devices and it never happened that they let people down. We extend our thanks to them for making us and even people happy by changing what they had done a few days ago.

If you have every used a CyanogenMod powered device that you liked, we would love to hear about your experiences so do share with us your thoughts in comments below.
