Skype for Android updated with picture-in-picture support
According to Android Central, Microsoft has updated Skype for Android with extensive support for picture-in-picture that would allow a user to keep a video call on while performing other work on the device. Indirectly, this update brings in a change that means you can pop out of the Skype window while in the middle of a video call and switch over to another app while continuing the conversation. This neat feature was added to the Android app in order to allow a user to browse other arenas on the device while continuing with the video call with ease.
This news updated Skype feature has been release for tablets and should be for smartphones very soon. Apart from this nifty improvement, there are small enhancements here and there that you can make out while using the updated version of Skype. Tweaking of faster loading of chats and notifications, native support for Hindi and formatted text that includes italic, bold and even strikethroughs. Apart from knowing about this video calling service application, Groups App has been launched by Facebook last week and the Jolla Tablet crowdsourcing and crowdfunding aim was successful. Skype has been connecting people from different walks of life over the years and is also improving and developing at a good pace.
