Linshof i8 is an octa-core running Android 5.0 Lollipop
We are almost reaching the last month of the year and we are aware that this is a month of happiness and love. We are glad to announce that a new gadget player is joining the market with the announcement of the new Android powered smartphone which is named the i8. It is definitely not a copy of the iPhone just because it has an ‘i” to it. The German company Linshof sent out a press release that describes the amazing device with high-end hardware specifications at a highly affordable and mid-ranged price.
Once you have a first look the smartphone you will start thinking about the odd design and screen clarity. The body of the i8 appears to be really slick and crafty designed with brushed aluminum on either coffee to black color. Nevertheless, without a physical unit we cannot judge a lot in terms of production quality and material.
Many features and specification of the Linshof i8 are cited but there is no processor information revealed. As of what we know now, the i8 will be sporting a 5 inch Super AMOLED display screen with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 80GB internal storage. Decked inside will be a 2.1GHz octa-core processor that will be backed by 3GB of RAM and powered by a 3100 mAh battery. Moving over to more known, a 13MP HP Primary Camera with a 28mm Wide Angle Lens, Fast Low-Light F1.8, Sony CMOS Sensor and a 8MP Secondary Camera. As for the processor, all we could say that it would either have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or a MediaTek MT6795.
The Linshof i8 would be having Electronic Compass, GPS, HDMI 1.4, Bluetooth v4.0, Gyroscope with 3D support, USB port NFC and even WiFi/ LTE (4G) wireless. On the software front, the company has stated that the device will be booting Android 5.0 Lollipop with an accelerated version of the Linshof UI. The company is real happy with their software environment making them boast about certain features like “No added trailware” and “No in-phone advertisements”. According to the price tag in the press release, the i8 would be available at $380 releasing in Q1 2015.
We have made a check and have seen that the company is not heard of and has a very low social and online presence as the Facebook Page is existing from 19th November 2014.
