Android 5.0 Lollipop seeding to Nvidia Shield Tablet LTE

The Nvidia Shield Tablet LTE is receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA. The gaming hardware company has declared the news about the Lollipop update roughly a week after the Wi-Fi model received the update. The news about the update was revealed on the official Nvidia profile on Twitter.

This update directly makes the Nvidia Shield Tablet LTE the first tablet (4G) to run Android 5.0 Lollipop in the United States. The HTC Nexus 9 (LTE) is not available for order at the moment.

With the update of Android 5.0, the slate now can stream various PC games via Nvidia Grid and also has stock apps which are updated. Apart from the gaming angle, there are small changes in terms of the UI and looks of the screen. The Nvidia Shield Tablet LTE is a device that boats immense speed and processing power that is more than enough to carry out high-end games with ease. If you have missed the update notification, you could head over to System Settings and update your tablet manually. Android 5.0 Lollipop on other devices are yet to be rolled out even though some have already received the update a few weeks ago.
